Tom Broughton - Toastmaster
- Vice President of the National Association of Toastmasters
- Born in 1936 and educated at Canterbury and Halton.
- Served twenty-four years in the Royal Air Force, receiving a permanent
commission. Retired as a Flight Lieutenant with 5,000 flying hours as
a flight engineer.
- In civilian life, acquired a degree in Education and became a senior lecturer in engineering.
- A professional Toastmaster for eighteen years and a member of the National Association of Toastmasters (NAT).
- A wide spectrum of experience, working in the House of Lords, Park
Lane Hotels, The Savoy and many prestigious hotels throughout the Home Counties.
- Works regularly all over Kent, Sussex, Surrey and Essex, but has also
worked as far north as Blackpool, as far west as Bournemouth, as far east as Lille in France.
- Toastmaster for many charitable organisations as well as the Rotarians,
Round Table, Lions Clubs and Soroptimist International.
- Clients include two Lord Lieutenants, numerous mayors and many other
civic bodies involving a wide variety of civic dignitaries.
- Official Toastmaster to the Chairman and Lord Lieutenant of the County of Kent.
